Kenzo SS2013
Kenzo is an established Parisian luxury brand that we’ve been following and loving for the past few years. As Opening Ceremony‘s brandchild, Kenzo is known for its eclectic, colourful, and symmetrical designs. We also loved their Spring Summer 2013 runway, featuring visuals by a New-York based Digital Artist who also directed Beyonce’s live performance of “Who Run The World” at The Billboard Awards 2011. So here’s the promotional video of their SS2013 collection, “Tiger Fever”, featuring amazing jungle and animal inspirations!

Harding and Wilson is a company based in Portland, Oregon, founded off the ideals of honest design and hard work. Each hand crafted tie is done in house and comes packaged with a hand stamped H&W logo – all advertisements, logos and graphics are also designed by H&W.-
H&W quickly found their initial identity through the use of local wools by Pendelton. H&W was able to couple their craftsmanship with a quality material to match to create heirloom grade bowties. The variety of patterns and colors available allow the ties to be worn in a casual or formal setting. Ladies, they have also been messing around with getting you gals some bow ties too.
As of late, Co-Founder Peter let me know that H&W has been busy at work with other companies, to create one of a kinda bow ties, each tailored to their collaborators. Exploring new materials such as sheer, vintage stock and reclaimed clothing. H&W have also included different styles and cuts to fit more personal aesthetics.

Big Dreams Team is a Montreal based – more specifically West Island – collective made up of fresh talent. We we’re thrilled to discover them a little while ago with the release of their EP “Stars”. Not only is BDT a reflection of our generation’s large aspirations, but I think we can all agree that they’re also slowly taking it to the next level, especially with their latest videoclip “Home”, directed by Vinoth Varatharajan. We highly suggest you keep an eye on these young fellas! — We know we will!

Phil Cuttance is a london based designer, specializing in reclaimed, post-industrial and recycled materials to give them a new life. We simply fell in love with his work, and especially these vases and lamps, that balance between exact symmetry and organic form. Each object is produced individually by casting a water-based resin into a simple handmade mold made from folded plastic. The process of creating these strong triangulated vessels seem to demand the attention of complicated and advanced processes but the process is surprisingly simple : it is very similar to slip casting, which is low production with accurate and amazing results.
We enjoy the playfulness of the shapes, and colors to the making of these vessels… Our eyes we’re simply amazed by the video and the pictures above, that tell everything about clever work and genius aesthetic!

Born in Switzerland but now based in Canada, amazing producer Cyril Hahn has completely remodeled Jessie Ware‘s soft pop track into a catchy dance house beat. The talented British singer was known for her collaborations with SBTRKT, Julio Bashmore, and more, but has been truly discovered this past august after releasing Devotion, a rich and shimmery pop album. Often called the missing link between Adele and Sade, she’s one of our best pop find of 2012!

It’s officially official! 1960′s a.k.a our favourite era is back in fashion! We know it’s nothing new, but the 60′s aesthetic just has this magic charm that we’ll never get tired of! French designer Isabel Marant just released a fashion film called “Vis à Vis”, and is clearly inspired by these beautiful times. The music, the photography, the angles, the atmosphere… Everything just makes us feel like we lived in that era — in another life maybe!

You’ve probably heard of Montreal based denim brand called Naked and Famous, right ? And you’re also aware of the fact that they produce their jeans with only the finest of japanese denim, right ?
Well if you didn’t know, now you know! Distributing their very coveted jeans all over the world, Naked and Famous thought it would be interesting to bring the rest of the world to Montreal. That is the reason why they opened Tate + Yoko, a unique shop that aims at providing cult Japanese brands. In fact, the menswear boutique’s concept revolves around curating brands that are based on skilled craftsman and only produce in small batches. Focusing on quality and exclusive products rather than mass production, this is probably the reason why many of the brands you’ll encounter will seem new to you… but it makes it so much exciting! You should definitely check out Tate + Yoko next time you’re on the northern part of Saint-Laurent, it’s surely worth discovering!
